Frequently asked questions: - How many hours tuition will I need in order to pass my test?
The official DSA answer is "on average 44 hours of professional tuition combined with 21 hours of private practice". In reality this can be rather misleading as it varies greatly dependant on your personal circumstances. Age and ability play a great role although the most important factor is a willingness to learn. - What do I need to bring with me for my 1st lesson?

You will need both parts of your photo licence or your licence and another form of photo ID (ie passport) if you have an old style paper only licence. Also you will need prescription glasses if you have them and comfortable footwear, not flip flops or boots. - Why do you recommend two hour lessons?

As you will gain much more from each lesson. You will have the opportunity to learn more skills and have more practice so that the new skills are embedded. You will find that you progress much quicker if you can have at least one 2 hour lesson each week. - Do I have to be dropped off at the same place as I am collected from?
No - I can arrange your lesson so that I can collect you and drop you off from wherever suits you - Home, Work, School, Friend's house, obviously within reason. - Can I take my test in my own car?

Yes - although this is not recommended. You will feel more confident if you use the car that you have had your lessons in and you will also need to provide adequate insurance cover if you want to use your own car. - Can Mum/Dad come with me on a lesson?

Yes if you wish and mum and dad may be interested to know how you are getting on - especially if they are paying for lessons! Although this would be limited to only one extra person at a time. - Can I bring my baby on a lesson?

This is not recommended as it may cause unnecessary distractions - although I am able to accomodate this if you provide a suitable child seat for rear of car use. - What books /CD's do I need to buy?
